Palace are certainly grinding out the results and may be well worth looking out for again. With James Beattie being out for Sheff Utd that is a major blow for them. Palae also beat them 3-2 earlier in the season.

I've a soft spot for Charlton (backed them ante-post) because they are also grinding out results but they are drawing when you'd expect them to win and vice-versa. I need to look at Leicesters form but from memory they've been poor at home and Charlton also won the reverse fixture.

WBA should beat Scunthorpe easy this weekend, although Scunthorpe won 1-0 away to Preston on boxing day. With Kevin Phillips back, WBA will always score a lot of goals. My prediction: 3-0

Hull v Sheff Wed
Hull are waiting on the fitness of Ian Ashbee, who limped out of the 2-0 win over Wolves with an unspecified knock.

Striker Dean Windass is battling to be recalled if Caleb Folan or Fraizer Campbell are rested.

Sheffield Wednesday duo Wade Small and Steve Watson are both doubtful because of hamstring injuries.

Winger Jermaine Johnson (gashed foot) could return to the reckoning but Frank Simek, Francis Jeffers and Richard Wood remain sidelined.
