According to the FA website, Sammy Mckilroy is banned from the touchline for two matches. Does anyone think this will affect Morecambe??

Chesterfield at 2.5 looks good, we beat MK Dons last week and this week we are against Rotherham, a team we usually do very well against. We have only one injury, that of Jack Lester but Steve Fletcher will come in to partner Jamie Ward, also a couple of players are playing against there old clubs in this one.

Gregor Robertson was at Rotherham last season and moved to Saltergate in the summer, he looks a promising left back and does get forward a bit too. However the most important returning player is Mark Hudson. Hudson left Chesterfield under a cloud when he joined Huddersfield, claiming that he wanted to go to a bigger and better club. He is hated by the Chesterfield fans, and I should feel a couple of our longer serving players will not like him either. One of those is playing against him in midfield, Derek Niven. Niven is a lung busting midfielder who goes box to box and kicks everything he sees, I can see him getting naughty with Mr Hudson. I hope he does anyway.

I can see goals in this one, I think backing over 2.5, Chesterfield to win and Jamie Ward to score first are all good bets.

In a word no. Even if it did though I wouldn't be convinced that Brentford could take advantage. If pushed I'd go with the draw on this one.

You can/could get evens on MK Dons which is a decent price against a Daggers side begining to look out of their depth, with 4 home defeats in 5 the most recent of which came at the hands of a mediocre Bradford who went away with a 4-1 win. It's not often you can call evens reasonable value on any L2 side away from home but I think this is one of those rare occassions.

I think it's fair to draw comparisons between the MK Dons and Darlington. Darlo were convincing winners at Dagenham with a 3-0 defeat flattering the hosts. If anything IMO MK have more going forward now than Darlo had available to them that day.

I know feck all about this league, it was something I came across whilst looking for something else. Thought I'd share it, knowledge is power/or winning money in our case.

Sorry, probably should've been more concise. In my view having a manager banned from the touchline doesn't really affect teams form. In Morecambe's case they have players who I'd call experienced organisers, also McIllroy will be in constant communication with the bench.

Jimmy, I think Darlo is a tough call. The fact they've got a strong defence will always give them a chance (unless you're Hereford). They've good options in attack now too. However GRimsby who couldn't keep a clean sheet for love nor money seem to have kicked into gear with a couple of impressive results and clean sheets. I'd have wanted a bigger price on Darlo purely because of Grimsby's recent form in particular the win over Carlisle.

Peterborough is one I'm umming and aahing about this week to be honest. All reports I've had from opposition fans say they're playing some great stuff and have been doing so for a while, it's not a surprise they've started hammering teams. There's no doubt that on their day they can beat anyone in the league.

However manager Darren Ferguson has been in trouble with the law recently (see below link) and you wonder whether that may affect a young side. Also I don't like backing against a side who has Craig Lindfield (one of Liverpools FA Youth Cup winning side) playing for them. With County humbled in the cup at the weekend you wonder how they'll react. If they come out really looking to prove a point they can get something out the game. However if they don't they could easily get destroyed. I'd say if you want to go with Peterborough then taking them to win by more than a goal would perhaps be the value call. For me I can see this as a 1-1 or a 4-0 to Peterborough.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bookies have gone bonkers!

There are some stonking bets to be had, this evening. By our calculations the markets seem to have mis-priced the whole of the English 2nd division.
Here are additional picks which will not be written up in detail but certainly we are on them, and suggest you have a look!

Morecome+05 @ 1.61
Bury @ 1.99
Mk Dons @ 1.92
Darlington+05 @ 1.43
Peterborough @ 2.12
Hereford+05 @ 1.6
