Place Your Ante-Post Bets Here

Go on tell us a little about your selections for this season on the relevant thread. Here's an example-

Quote:
Scottish Div 4 looks pretty tight all in but i'm gonna take Partick McPartickson to win the league. Finished the season well last season, a few good signings and a settled team. 6/1 with BSB-bet sounds good to me. good luck sports fans
See that was pretty easy. you just type a sentance per thought. Your thoughts are the reasons why you fancy a team. go on give it a try you might enjoy it.

Sorry im being delibratly patronising. You know what i'm like.

So feel free to add your indivisual bets to the threads and then bung them all in here together for review at the end of the season.

Re: Places Your Ante-Post Bets Here

Backed a EW treble Dundee 8/1 signed two czech players one of them a giant forward should score lots tight league 3rd fav think it could be between the top 3 in the betting.
Raith r 7/2 finished the second half of the season very well. Did not loose many goals good signings Weir Todd Sloan cant see them out 1st 3.
E Fife 7/4 brought in a lot of players lot of good signings ,think they will be hard to beat worthy favs short price but price looks right imo

Re: Places Your Ante-Post Bets Here

Ayr to win Scottish 2nd Division (8/1)
Great summer signings, fantastic new manager who knows exactly how to win that league - and a club who realistically should be in the First Division anyway given their potential support base. Will be right in the mix.

Gretna to finish bottom of SPL (2/1)
Only reached the top league because of money and now that's seemingly dried up. I watched them in their final pre-season game and they were AWFUL. Nowhere near enough class to compete and playing 'home' games at Motherwell will be another handicap too far.

Buy Fulham's Premiership points total @ 40
Cracking wee spread bet here. 40 points is the accepted relegation marker - and for my money Fulham will comfortably beat this. They got 39 last season and that included troubled times with Chris Coleman being sacked. Lawrie Sanchez has made some good signings and they've looked good in pre-season.

Re: Places Your Ante-Post Bets Here

Danq yours were 3 Scottish 1-2-3 bets thats why i moaned at you Wet Sail's now shown us how ideal a wee bit of what you gave us works on this thread especially with it's 3 threadedness. thanks Wet Sail and Kop too and good luck to the pair of you.

I took Montrose at 12/1 a few weeks ago for about a 1pt bet. 14/1 was on offer then and will probably be the same or more as i don't think theyve came ...shit soz wrong thread

Re: Places Your Ante-Post Bets Here

done my antepost bet late last night.i thought hard and long and in the end i came up with a super double i think.ive been working at it all week on who to do in this bet.some bookies were only letting me do singles and other bookies hadnt what i wanted.but in the end i got there.this is my bet.EAST FIFE TO WIN 3RD DIV.THATS MY SCOTTISH BANKER.I GOT 15-8.AND MAN CITY TO FINISH IN TOP HALF OF PREMIERSHIP AT A MASSIVE 2-1.THATS MY ENGLISH BANKER.I DONE A 500QUID DOUBLE.im very confident about this double.i done it with blue square.i see paddy power has cut city into just 6-5 tonite for the same bet.even if they finish 10th its a winner for me.with the money eriksson has spent and will be spending i think that was a joke price from blue square last night.and ive studied everything about that scottish 3rd div and i cant see no-one touching east fife this season.they also look a banker bet.it will be a nice lift come may i think.

Re: Places Your Ante-Post Bets Here

To many small accas to list but a wee taster:

£1 on Fulham(+44), Plymouth(+26) double;Ladbrokes handicap, pays £304.

Agree that Fulham have bought well and if they can get their away form sorted should be well capable of reaching 50 points. Add on 44 to that could be enough. Spurs are only (+18) at Lad, anymore and that wouldn't be such a good bet. Plymouth finished last season with nfour or five wins and 26 looks generous.

£2 on Wigan, Reading and Derby to be relegated @33/1 Paddy Power.

£4 on N.Forest, Peterborough and Dunfermline to win leagues with Skybet, pays £303.

Have bets involving Charlton, Wolves and Sheffield United. Can't split them.

Do you know if these "to get promoted" bets include promotion via the play offs. Also, where did you get that price on Chesterfield? Skybet have them 15/8 and there has been no change on their overall price.

Re: Places Your Ante-Post Bets Here

Here are mine (no odds included, as I've got them in multiple accys, but all bets are with Bet365):

1- Nott'm Forest to win League One title
2- Nott'm Forest to get promoted
3- Spurs to win EPL title (w/o the big 4)
4- Spurs to finish above Newcastle
5- Spurs to get > 63 points
6- Bayern Munchen to win Bundesliga title
7- Bayern to finish above Bremen
8- Peterbrough to win League Two title
9- Man City to finish above West Ham
10- Birmingham to finish above Derby
11- Birmingham to get > 38 points
12- Liverpool to finish above Arsenal
13- Blackburn to finish above Bolton

I consider bets 6 & 7 to be absolute bankers. Don't see anyone even coming close to Bayern this season in Germany.

P.S. NOT a Bayern fan

Rangers for SPL +5 @ 10's
Man City for EPL +40 @ 10's allthough i don't think we'll need that many this year
