There a few others who i'd say are more likely but the fact he doesn't get on so well with Abramovich and for a poorish start (they are away at Anfield and O.T before the 3rd week in September) and things could deteriate rapidly. I wouldn't be suprised to see Abramo' go in for Cappello at some point.

Re: The Premiership 2007/08 ante-post

What sort of season are Portsmouth going to have? Could they possible kick on from what they achived last season.Harry's tactics dont seem to work away from home tho.

Some nice bets avaliable 20's and 1/4 odds 1,2,3 without the top 4,so a 7th place finish would give you a 5/1 winner. And +37 on the handicap list,a season like the last and that +37 might just be very generous.

Nothing can stop Chelsea next season, warns Mourinho
(AFP)

LONDON - Jose Mourinho has warned that nothing can stop Chelsea from recapturing the Premier League title from Manchester United next season.

Mourinho buried the hatchet with Roman Abramovich during clear-the-air talks with the Blues owner and Russian billionaire in London last week.

And he declared on Friday that Chelsea are united as they turn their minds to reclaiming the crown.

“I’m happy with the club and happy with the structure. I’m happy with the support and communication and my players are fantastic,” he told the club’s official website.

“I don’t want to communicate with people outside my club. I don’t want to because I don’t need to send messages to my club through the press.

“The communication at this moment is fantastic. In my club, everything is perfect. Me and the people outside, I simply just don’t care. I’m not interested.”

Mourinho, who is preparing Chelsea for the last match of their pre-season tour to America against LA Galaxy on Saturday, is convinced he will bring more silverware to Stamford Bridge.

“I’m optimistic. I won trophies in the last five years of my career, so not occasionally. This happens for some reason, and I think we’re going in the same direction,” he said.

“We always have two big competitions, the Premiership and Champions League. The cups in England are very important too.”

England midfielder Joe Cole, who spent long spells of last season in the treatment room with knee and foot injuries, believes Chelsea’s big names must perform if United are to be deposed.

Cole insists the form of Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo was the key to United’s success last term and hopes some of his Blues team-mates step up to the plate in similar fashion.

“Our rivals have strengthened but so have we. I don’t think it’s going to be who spends the most money who wins the league. That has never been the case,” he said.

“It’s always been who has the fighting spirit, togetherness and which of the big players had the better season.

“Cristiano Ronaldo had a good season last year and was the main reason United won the league.

“This year we need two or three important players in attack to come up with the goods and that’s what we’ll be trying to do.”

Re: The Premiership 2007/08 ante-post

Newcastle to finish above Sunderland and Middlesborough 4/5

One of the best bets ever that. I make that scenario 80-90% likely

Re: The Premiership 2007/08 ante-post

I've just given Corals a fiver back

Next Prem manager to leave his post
Alex Ferguson @ 66/1

It's unlikely and i've taken it on the back of my Mourinho win but my outsider reasons for taking though are...

1. It cant be a unified boardroom with the ever increasing debt, who knows whats going on.

2. Queiroz has hinted about his future roll there just a fortnight ago as though something had made him come out and say it.

3. I can see Fergie going into a different role or being given a different title there when he retires from managing and i dont think it's as far away as seems.
Utd wont want to be slipping any more points to Arsenal and they are already out of the Carling cup. Any other bad results popping up and pressure will be on.

Like i say, it's unlikely but odds of 66/1 sucked me in.

Now go sit next to Bobby, Fergie.

Aye and you heard it first here on TDP folks.

I bet we could get some Sky coverage on something like this as in getting ODM on Football am to do the deed as ODM doesnt strike me as the sort to back out of anything.
