Re: CC Championship 2007/08 Ante-post

I think Charlton showed a lot of fight towards the end of last season and in the last few games did show a bit of how they could play - I don't know if that was because Alan Pardew came it at Christmas time.

I thought they would have avoided relegation and I think have a grat chance of going straight up. I know they've moved on a few players and they've just sold Luke Young to Boro for £2.5M but hopefully they will go straight back up because they are a team that like to try and 'play' football. Thats what I think anytime I've saw them on the box.

I couldn't be arsed looking for best price (don't know why ) but I've had some of the 6/1 available with Ladbrokes.

Sheffield Wedensday 7/1 to be promoted looks a very good bet to me.

Under Laws they picked up last year and they are about to sign a proven 15 goal+ striker in Rasiak, they have kept hold of Brunt too and 7/1 is too large.

Well it might be 2 weeks since the rumour but Lee Trundle will become a Bristol City player on Monday in a deal thought to be worth 1m.

It is just the odd bits and peices that need tying up and he even played in the 2-2 home draw with Yeovil today, scoring one and setting up another.

for those who don't know of him, Trundle was quite possibly the most naturally gifted striker in the lower leagues, and has been top scorer for Swansea over the past 4 seasons.

While he may be approaching his 31st birthday, he has never had much pace to rely on but if he can replicate his tricks and finishing in the Championship, he may become a very exciting signing.

I agree , a key signing , I still like Charlton though but I dunno about Sheff Wed , chris , did they nopt miss out on Raiak?
I aint convinced about Laws to be honest.
Sheff Utd have just took Hendrie and he's excellent at this level as he showed at Stoke.
