Born in Northern Ireland in 1962 , started off as a journalist on the County Down Spectator , won several wards for his columns , then decided to turn to writing novels........

Read three in the last week , all three very enjoyable and really funny , quite a strange sort of humour , but funny non the less.

After reading the first couple of pages, I laughed so hard I followed through, but seeing as I was reading it on the toilet at the time, it wasn't so bad.
Bateman incorporates black and un-pc humour in an excellent novel. Prepare for a journey among the odd folk of Crossmaheart, where prejudice exists with a capital P. From the Police to the old folk, no-one gives a damn (or even has one to give for that matter).
Read it and laugh, then lend it to your family - marvellous stuff!!

I`ll be off down the library to ratch a few more of these gems out ........

sounds interesting, will have to look out for that the net is killing my reading over the last while or so !!! I like reading too.

Might bag a couple myself Wins, I've got a couple of bob in my paypal account and might have a scour on ebay.

I've never been a big book reader but once i pick one up i find it difficult to put down again so tend to leave em alone.
