But when Hollywood drops the Charlie Allnut romance of a trip on the African Queen and concentrates on events that should wake us up and make us mad then you might just feel the Americans aren´t such useless pricks after all.

"Sahara" is about dumping toxic waste in areas that can ill afford to say no and
"Blood Diamond" is about the disappearance of a whole country´s diamond production in order to keep the global price at a sky high .........er..high

I havent seen either of the films Peter. I quite liked Hotel Rwanda. well it was ok.

a film I haven´t seen but Le Carre´s novel I read just a few months ago about pharmeceuticals on the Dark Continent and when they mention medicines you just know there´s some jiggery pokery going on.

Good book. Don´t know about the film.

I´ll have a look around for Hotel Rwanda, Komp, but I crack all the codes for the major European TV suppliers and take what I can get. I´m like the Greek cafe next door; I have to stick my plug into someone else´s electricity supply in order to make a decent burger.
