Re: 4 up for eviction

Looks like you have caught me out Trickrick, as Meathead Mario, starts to do everything wrong, as Friday approaches. Market appears to have him as the new favourite to go, and with more ammo against him, to be shown tonight, he may be in big danger.
Solid polls still have Steph with a big lead, and I still have a feeling she will go, but this may be closer then originally thought. And you should be able to trade out

Re: 4 up for eviction

I will certainly look at trading out, but as I originally set a target of 1.9 for Steph to edge, I will now definately hang fire and watch carcrash telly tonight featuring the fat, sweaty, greasy aging wannabe..

From what I read - nobody likes the git (including me surprisingly...)

Hopefully by tomorrow Steph may hit 3/1 or better !

Re: 4 up for eviction

Yeah punt looking good trick - tonight should see another slide - and Im sure today he'll give even more ammo for the Thursday show - having Lisa there to bitch to is dreadful for him.

Deffo worth hedging this one tho if Mario goes short - as it could easily be the case of the silent majority. Digital Spy eviction thread is a case in point - virtually every post is anti-Mario - and yet Steph is maintaining her strong lead in the eviction poll - 52% to 33% which is what its been all week(will be interesting to see if it moves today tho.)

The point is that those who may vote out Steph don't particularly have a good reason for it(the only reason is that she is a young female) and so even though all the forum and blog chatter will be anti Mario - it's only because those that will vote for Steph are staying silent, but will still vote.

Re: 4 up for eviction

I think there are plenty of good reasons for getting rid of vapid Steph.
Makes no secret she is in there for fame and the money (always a fine reason to get rid of them quickly). Was truely awful in the task, making no effort to sell the story. Is not as good looking as she believes she is (gets ropier and ropier as the days pass). And I really could do without all the ghastly youngsters acting like spoilt brats, and ruining the show. Seems to be houseful of them, and picking off one of them should keep them in check.
Otherwise it will be a pick off job, as the other 'older' contestants are encircled by the sharks

Some interesting points..

Not sure the validity of DS polls to the common voter. I always seem to think that Digital Spy polls do not reflect the thoughts of the public - rather a clique gang who are full of their own reality importance..

I agree I don't feel there is enough been shown on the main shows that demonstrate Steph has done that much wrong, MArio is the one being portrayed as an arse..Apparently he has been on loads of reality shows before..Saddo..

The one thing that seems to be working in her favour is Steph doesnt appear to be portrayed as the 'fame and fortune wannable' on the main highlights show, which I'm presuming is where the majority of voter obtain their reasoning. Last night's show was a typical example of how she portrayed favourably when she was one of the girls who was verbally assaulted by Alexandra. She was the only one that 'heroically' stood up to her and tried to fight her corner as opposed to blubbing in the diary room.

Fat boy just spent the show strutted around licking whipped cream off his ladyboy grilfriend, sweating profusley and admiring himself in the mirror in just his boxers convinced he is safe after the development of his sham of a friendship with Mikey

..Must admit she is a bit ropey facially - with what appears to be her permanantly smudged mascara.. Nice bod mind..

Oooh Kosar you sound like a bit of an old grouch there.. To be honest, I think C4 have made a definate effort to keep the housemate profile 'young and hip' No old codgers this time round, and therefore another reason for possibly keeping Steph in for a while..

Re: 4 up for eviction

HAving said all that - I am still looking at hedging... I think it was Beanie who said that a male has never been first evicted in any of the last 8 series..

Re: 4 up for eviction

Well no, my DS point was maybe a slight contradiction in that I don't really pay any attention to it or its polls either as 9 times out of 10 they are nonsense - Aisleyne would have hosed up two years ago if you'd have believed them - same with Channelle last year.

My point wasn't really to do with the actual numbers of the poll - its that the thread is almost entirely anti Mario - yet the poll doesn't reflect that - which shows that people are clicking the Steph button but not saying why. All I'm saying is that a similar situation with the phones and texts rather than the poll buttons isn't out of the question on Friday.

Nah..Good point Beanster and another reason why hedging may be the best thing

And proud of being a fully paid up member of the Grumpy Old Man club

As for Steph, she did make a huge point in her opening VT and early hours in the house that she was there to get her Deals and make a few quid, and not there for the experience. Unfortunately the show has lost its lustre as an experiment to see how people would react in the confines of a house, and to depend on BB. Now they are all savvy to what is required, and are more interested in the fame, then the actual experience. If people want to watch late teens, early 20 year olds revert back to childhood, then this is the show for you. The BB bosses have lost interest in the concept of the show, are extremely lazy as to how to run it, and are only interested in cheap thrills and drink laden arguments.

Re: 4 up for eviction

Apparently Alex just said:

"Can't wait till Friday, the public better work in out favour, we want blondie out!"

If they show that tomorrow night, that could be a serious nail in Mario's coffin

Re: 4 up for eviction

PS, love him or hate him, Mario is hilariious at the moment(unintentionally for the most part.) After the 'Mikey's got a disability, open your eyes!' moment, tonights was calling Jen's lack of clothing 'degrading', at the very moment he was sprawled out on the bed having his bum massaged in a pair of tiny multicoloured pants

Re: 4 up for eviction

Yeah, last night wasnt too bad a show for Mario - I was expecting worse.. Also Steph didnt particularly come across that well..

Still Mario is holding firm at 1/2.. I have placed a small cover bet on Steph @ 7/4 but only to break even if Mario doest go.. Mario the bonehead is still the big winner for me if he gets the boot..
