I've just watched it and I liked it. When he walked into the big room with all the pictures the first time, the penny dropped and I thought the same thing that Beanie has said.

I've not really seem much of the bloke to be honest. I started off hating his over the top melodramatic patronising voice but ended up quite liking the bloke in the end. It's not really my cup of tea but I can see how seeing him live must be very impressive Dan Dan. Wonder if he can create a cure for baldness for himself one day

I'm convinced that he used slight of hand to switch the tickets at the end. Maybe the makers backed both the favs or even backed the other horses in the race as well to guarantee a happy ending. Either that or just decided to give her her four grand back whatever happened.

I also think the bookies will be rubbing their hands this morning but an even better by-product is that people who receive offers of tips through the letterbox are now less likely to be taken in and hand their money over to scam tipsters.

When I first started watching Derren years ago he wasn't bald and I thought he was quite tasty, not so anymore. Oh and because I think he might actually be gay. He lives alone with a parrot.

Quite possible as that is one of his talents. He is part magician, mind manipulator, body language studier etc etc.

The more you watch him the more times you pick up what he is actually doing. As I mentioned the one when he made the bookies pay out losing lines was brilliant, it's all to do with confusing the mind you want to send me lots of money ODM and throwing suggestions into what you are saying.

At his stage shows he goes through a list of things with the audience, just like the hypnotists do ie put money in right hand decide yourself to move it to other hand etc till he eliminates the stronger minds and is left with the Winrews.

He does a thing on his tv show when he makes people fall asleep in phone boxes.

The idea behind that is that only the most easily manipulated will actually go over and answer a ringing phone box phone. When they answer the phone he says lots of words that confuse the person, the brain then tries hard to lock on to anything it can understand, he then says go to sleep and they understand it and do.

I'm always dubious about this hypnosis lark. Anybody with a mind that weak should be put down. Maybe they should create a new reality show and combine it with that film about the sniper who kept the guy pinned in the phone box.

This time though, they should just shoot them straight between the eyes as they sleep.

My Dad fainted on stage, fell over and brought the back curtain down with him whilst Paul Mckenna attempted to hypnotise him in a show in Brighton once. Absolutely pissed myself watching that in the audience, a great childhood memory

I've only ever been to one hypnotism show in my life when i was in Benidorm, I sat there for an hr and half and the bloke couldent hypnotise anybody, then stood up apologised saying it doesnt work all the time, packed his bag and fcuked off.

I won't be going to any more.

went to one show and the guy asked for some requests. He had onions lying on the table and was obviously wanting someone to ask him to get 1 of the plonkers to eat it (pretending it was an apple) - before they did I said

bkm - "are those real onions"
guy - "yes. of course they're real onions - look at the size of them. biggest onions i've saw in years"
bkm - "and your sure those people are under your spell and will do anything you say"
guy - "yes - they are under my hypnotic spell and will do anything i ask them to"
bkm - "get them to peel the onions"
guy - "yes - and then what"
bkm - "get them to stuff them up their arse"

needless to say i was asked to leave
