Taking Notes On Players

I'm starting to see that taking notes on people isn't only very helpfull it's great fun too. It's great meeting someone youve tagged already and then see if you can get more info on them. I find the easiest way to do it at the moment is just to make a note of any hand that they have played. add a ? if the statement is still in doubt and see if your fears are confirmed later.

take notes like crazy. By the time the stt or mtt goes on you'll start feeling that you know your table and that in turn will allow to better judgement.

Re: Taking Notes On Players

I take a few notes too. I've recently started prefixing my notes with the game I'm playing, for example

mtt:
NL50:

I don't want to get mixed up with cash notes during a tourney!

Re: Taking Notes On Players

Hiya Graham. sounds a good tip Graham. I dont really play much else barr stt's mind at the moment. Found it quite funny the other night when i was playing. I was taking notes fratically on everyone and soon had everyone at the table with a note of sorts. All were genrally things like 'SHITE PLAYER ALERT - call all min with A7 ' etc. Then i realised i was playing in 50cent tournies and no wonder everyone was shit. No point on taking notes on them. at my regular $10 game i keep a wealth of notes on folks. It's nice when someone sits down and youve already got some notes on them. I suppose taking notes on players is often under valued by folks but a very very good tool.

Re: Taking Notes On Players

Taking notes can be a great help but is only possible for online poker or am I wrong? If you don't play with the same people every week, it will be hard to remember how someone reraised you with nothing than King high. So does anyone do it with real life poker too?
