I have to admit to not having played the 6 handed ones - only the 10 handed ones.

On the 10 handed ones I think it depends on which site you play as to how to approach them. I found the best ones to play were the turbos with 4 min blind levels. On these it was possible to "play a bit of poker" on the first 2-3 levels to pick up some chips which gave a bit of an advantage later when the blinds quickly became big. If i failed to pick up chips early on and lost some it only meant that I was in ALL IN or Fold mode a bit earlier than had I folded all the time.

I found that playing with a longer structure of 7 or 8 min blinds the games would usually end up with 6 or 7 players still left and the blinds at 300/600 or 400/800 levels and being left with no choice but to push all in every 6 or 7 hands.
