Well apparently loads of top clubs are in for the diminutive crock but I do wonder "what next" for Michael?

Who would take on Owen with his injury record? Even with a deal staggered towards pay as you play (£40k a week with £20k an appearance and £10k a goal) would still put me off. All this talk of Owen still being a class act and still being able to cut it at the highest level doesnt wash with me.

At best, I can see him playing for a Hull, Blackburn, Stoke, Celtic type club. He's washed up - surely no top club would touch him with a bargepole?
