Im gonna work on writing a beginners guide to playing poker for a couple of pals who refuse to read poker books and seem to think that they do ok just playing like.....

...:cnuts no i mean green fish types. I dont know as much about poker as a lot of folks and certainly im imaginging that im probably only about 15% down the road of understanding things to play at a high staked level. I do however see the key points that a player should know to bridge the gap from a complete novice fish that maybe has played for 8 months and has never looked at improving their game to being a player that is trying to maximise his winnings and minimise his loses. I will learn things on the way no doubt. I will make a list as i think of them as i go but your welcome to add any points.
