Ah well here i am. still alive. Losing my job was a bit of a kick in the teeth and i suppose the full effects will kick in in the coming weeks and when i lose all my poker account money. I will just have to go and win some more. I have to shut myself off to play though. I need to be in a solitory mood. I can't for instance just pop off for a game the now. I can't relax and have total absorbness. Still i will sort that out another time.

today i fear the off license. I know it would be a fun way to not have to think about what i need to do. actually all i need to do is keep winning at poker. Poker winnings are strangly relaxing in life. Im scared to go and play and not concentrate and lose. Ive got to much in there to give it the respect it deserves. shit i should be in the poker forum (but i cant talk about poker)

I was looking at this

The Hatchet Fish (why did you cut up all those fishes? As i don't give a fcuk!')

A line from [IMDB]The Hatchet Man[/IMDB]. a made for tv movie that i quite enjoyed. I think it's known as another name in America. Julia roberts b-movie brother

Oh! that was it. I was at my mum's yesterday for some dinner. I mentioned my will to look through a telescope at the galaxies and my ste dad said that he had bought a telescope and never used it. I was expecting him to come back with some wee handheld thing but no he came in with something resemling the hubble telescope still in its box. We got to work and got it together. It was well made and i couldnt get my hands about the end of it it was so bit. I was well impressed with it all.

We started off with it aimed at the neighbours across the garden and i had to laugh at how we marveled at being able to see the woodchips in their wall paper. I told them that it was for looking at Nebulas 100's of light years away so lets not get too impressed with seing the neighbours wall paper. I checked sky conditions and then we manouverde the telescope out the back garden to search the skies.

It had a sophistaced longnatude and latitude measuring devices on it but we didnt need them. we looked up at the sky for a star, pointed at it and then aimed the telescope at it. I laughed as my stepdad said 'nah thats about right' just from moving the telecope roughly in the stars direction. I tried to expalin on how the telescope was looking millions of miles into space and even if he was a milimetre out in judgement it would mean that he would miss the star by about a google mile. I think i was right.

aye so suffice to say it will be great to get it all working and looking at stars. It gives examples of how places like Saturn would look with it. Fcuk imagine looking at Saturn? I think the best way frward is for me to have a read up on home telescoping and maybe take the telescope to a hill one night and get a good look at things.

Has anyone looked at the sky with a big telescope?

If we can understand what galaxies etc are all about or even if i can just hazzard a guess to myself in my life before i die then i will be happy.

Anyone got a link to that thing that goes from the nucleaus of an atom all the way up to the universe as we know it? If we think of our universe as being like the electron we first started with and it all being part of something else then that would do for me. I dont want to know anymore.
