Re: Swedish Weekend Football
The Allsvenskan is warming up with 5 games left to play and Monday night's programme will probably seal the fate of at least one club if results go against.
Sundsvall-IFK Gøteborg
My favourite Swedish side with a defence that has allowed 11 goals in 20 games and 3 in the last 12, IFK will be looking for all 3 points at Sundsvall to keep pressure up on table leaders Djurgården who they'll meet next week in the match that will go a long way to deciding the Swedish title.
Course, a loss for the home side will probably send them down to the Superettan and therefore their motivation won't be in doubt here.
Even so, the better than evens for IFK bemuses me slightly and team news tomorrow might make things clearer.
Perhaps the biggest game of the round will be Djurgården-Malmø.
The away side will play UEFA cup in Turkey on Thursday but a win here will throw the title race wide open. Hard to see where priorities will lie here. Will they spread themselves too thinly? My best guess is that they'll decide there's more on offer at home and make this game very difficult to call but perhaps the Besiktas match easier?
