Re: Spain , Segunda 11th-12th Oct

Starting off with Segunda B group 4, as there are a couple of games there I'm interested and they're the first ones to kick off.

Guadalajara v Portuense

14th v 17th, and I'm siding with the away side in this one. Would prefer to lay Guadalajara, which is what I'm currently attempting on Betfair, but not much liquidity there and may end up just backing the away win instead if I'm still not matched before kick off (which is 5pm Spanish time).

Guadalajara won their first game of the season, but since then they've gone 6 without a win, with their home games seeing a loss at home to 2nd placed Jaen and a 0-0 draw with 18th placed Roquetas. They've got injury and suspension problems for this one, with 2 players banned and 2 certainly out injured, plus another doubtful (but expected to be able to play). Can't claim to know too much about the missing players, but the report on last week's match on their official website said that the sending off of Jorge Garcia (one of this week's suspended players) and the injury to Cuesta (the doubtful player) left them without the 2 "brains" of the team in the centre of midfield. What's more, the manager after the game claimed the team was too reliant on Cuesta. Latest news in a local paper says Cuesta is doubtful, according to a forum they reckon he'll play, but whether he'll be 100% is another matter.

Portuense also without a couple of first team players, Carrasco and Abel. Stats only seem to cover 5 games, when they've played 7, but Abel was ever present for the first 5 games, Carrasco played a part in all 5 of them.

Portuense are yet to win this season, but after losing 3 of their first 4 games, they've drawn their last 3, and bearing in mind they included games at home to Ejido (4th) and away to Jaen (2nd now, but IIRC they were top at the time), there are definite signs of improvement.

Either a lay of Guadalajara, then, or back Portuense, depending on whether I get matched.
