Re: Old Feel Good Classics

You know what its like when you start secondry school, you want to be part of a following, trend or scene. I had 4 choices at that age...

Teddy Boy
Punk
Rocker
Northern Soul/Motown/Soul

The ska/two tone era came a couple of years later and that was the best era for me. But before that it was just the four.

Teddy Boys were becoming scarce and their clothing/style had become outdated, Elvis, Bill Hayley and even Showadywaddy kept it going for a scarce few. I didn't really mind the music, it just wasnt for me with the daft clothing and greased back hair

Punk. I didn't mind a little bit of punk but na, punk only had a few good beats to pogo to and i couldnt dress like that, all them fuckin pins too, besides i was too pretty for punk

Rocker. No fuckin chance, rockers were grebo's, long haired greasy fuckin grebo's, no offence Winrew of course but dirty smelly fuckers on wank, uncool bikes listening to loud, deafening, shite music that you could barely understand a word of. Women rockers were worse with their smelly fcukin josticks.

Northern Soul/Motown/Soul. Cool as fcuk, best dressed, best music, best looking women. Northern was great at that time though i never did Wigan casino, i was to young before it closed.
They still have allnighters every month up and down the country, i went to one last year, great night seeing some of the old fcukers still trying to put a northern soul spin in their dance

I listen to lots of stuff these days though anything from the 60's to today.

Anyway, one more from that era before i fuck off...
