Re: dundalk v shelbourne ,may 8th

Afternoon Mr Broms, in the absence of the experts I'll give my thoughts on the game!

Very tricky game this evening and one which i'm only having a couple of small bets in. Dundalk haven't actually been playing too well lately despite 4 wins and 12 goals in their last 4 games. Kildare were muck last week and Athlone are probably the worst team in the division at the moment so I'd take those two results with a pinch of salt.

Still though Dundalks home record has been excellent (17 wins and just 1 defeat in their last 22 Home fixtures) and they did beat Shels in both fixtures at Oriel Park last season. Shels are a better outfit this year though and should provide Dundalk with their toughest game of the season thus far. Anto Flood is in great form and has scored something like 10 goals in his last 13 matches or something.

Anyway I'm gonna plump for the draw a result that both sides would be pretty happy with. I'm gonna have a small punt on the 1-1 draw @5/1 and the 2-1 Dundalk @7/1.
Also David Cassidy has been our player of the season so far and he's knocked in 4 goals in his last 4 games. 4/1 for anytime goalscorer is too big especially as we haven't really got an out and out striker.

Verdict:
Draw @ 9/4
Dundalk to draw 1-1 @5/1
Dundalk to win 2-1 @7/1
David Cassidy to score anytime @4/1
