Re: 26-27th April Scots Premier

From BBC

BBC SPORT | Football | Scottish Premier | Aberdeen v Hibernian
Quote:
Aberdeen will have Darren Mackie and Karim Touzani back for the visit of Hibernian after injury.

Jackie McNamara left the club during the week and Jamie Smith, Richie Byrne and Lee Mair are joined on the sidelines by Sone Aluko.

Hibs will be without Merouane Zemmama for the rest of the season as they continue their European push.

Chris Hogg, Kevin McCann and Brian Kerr are still injured, although skipper Rob Jones returns.

THIS WEEK'S PREDICTIONS
SATURDAY

Aberdeen v Hibernian

Aberdeen made life difficult for Celtic last weekend with a stuffy performance and they were unfortunate to have a late goal disallowed.

The Dons have been able to raise their game for the bigger matches this season and this one should fall into that category.

Hibs turned in a good display to get a point at Tannadice last week but they will miss Merouane Zemmama because he's a player that can create something out of nothing.

They are still in the hunt for third spot and I'm sure Hibs will be up for the battle.

Prediction: 1-1

Hearts v Inverness CT

Hearts put in a decent performance last Saturday and scored some nice goals against St Mirren.

The pressure is off for both teams and I expect an open, attractive game, with home advantage edging it for Hearts.

Inverness had a great win last week when I fancied them to struggle against Kilmarnock.

That's two wins on the bounce and confidence will be on the up after a long losing sequence for Craig Brewster's team.

Prediction: 2-1

Team news

Kilmarnock v Gretna

Killie had a bad day at Inverness last weekend and Jim Jefferies will be keen to get that out of the system as quickly as possible.

It's been a season to forget for them but, if the home team play to their capabilities, this could be a comprehensive victory.

Gretna have stopped leaking goals in recent weeks but I bet they just wish the season was over.

They have a few youngsters looking to make a mark but I think they could struggle if Killie score early on.

Prediction: 2-0

Team news

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Motherwell v Dundee Utd

Motherwell are leading the race for third place and are in a strong position thanks to their surprise win at Celtic a few weeks ago.

They have had a break since Celtic got revenge at Fir Park and they might think a point is a good result in this one.

Dundee United, on the other hand, will throw everything they've got at winning it, since games are running out.

This is a key battle for the Uefa Cup place and I fancy United to come out on top.

Prediction: 1-2

Team news

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

St Mirren v Falkirk

St Mirren played well at Tynecastle and scored two excellent goals in what was an entertaining game.

Motivation is always an issue in these kind of games and players can switch off at this stage of the season, which is frustrating for coaches and fans.

Falkirk might have had some stuffing knocked out of them after missing the top six and they played out a poor draw with Gretna last week.

They have not been conceding goals but the Bairns haven't been scoring many either.

Prediction: 1-0

Team news

SUNDAY

Celtic v Rangers

Celtic will be desperate to repeat their recent dramatic Old Firm win and it should be another fast and furious affair.

It will be tense and Rangers have such a strong defence but I think Celtic will prevail and keep the title race going.

Rangers have lost a few key players and the games are coming thick and fast but tiredness will never be an issue in these fixtures.

A draw is the most I can see Rangers getting and, while I still make them as favourites for the league, they might play for one and come up short.

Prediction: 1-0
