Hey Crowie, as I've said before the RP naps table is ridiculous on the face of it and its a running joke within the RP offices, you wont go poor laying them everyday but you wont get rich doing it either.
Individually they are losing heavily for the most part, but they do have it in them to 'gang up' on the layers taking them on through individual races. If they pick 4 horses at bigger odds running in the same race, they arent helping each other at all but they are working against somebody who has taken all 4 on, plus many of them go for longer odds shots which can be a minefield on
betfair.
Today wouldve been a loser mainly because about 10 of them rode on 'Native
Coral', which won with a BF SP of 5.5, that one runner almost guarantees a loss on the day, as only 2 more winners wouldve returned a loss, there were more than two!
Days like today are rare in that one runner can f#ck up the whole
party, as I've found over 2 months of laying them its the runners with loads of tips you want to be laying rather than the longer priced shots, they tend to be the odds on or short priced nags you see go down everyday.
A typical race with NAPS on it would see maybe 2 or 3 go for a favorite, with another 2 going for prices at 10's+. You end up cheering on a runner as if you'd backed it, which isnt the point of this at all!
I dont think theres a great future in it but I will be taking their top picks and turning them over every day still, theres no getting away from the fact that those 52 tipsters with £1 each have dug a massive hole for themselves.
