...Boyle Sports go 3/1 for Ireland to win though!
Today's
Bettingzone Market News:
1020: Paddy Power have reported 'nil interest' in this year's
UK song choice for
Eurovision.
Less than one hundred bets have been placed so far on the outcome of this Saturday's 'Your Decision' which will decide the act that represents the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in May.
Even though the
BBC have been giving the show a big billing all week and organisers have recruited semi-recognisable faces in the hope of pulling in their X-Factor/Lloyd Webber viewers, punters are showing about as much interest as they would a flat Bucks Fizz.
Paddy Power have made girl act 'The Revelations' their 15/8 favourite to win the public vote this weekend ahead of what many are considering a poor shortlist of potential flag fliers.
Former X Factor hopeful Andy Abraham is the 5/2 second favourite followed by former Eastender turned singer Michelle Gayle at 9/2.
Further down the bookies list are singers Simona Armstrong at 5/1 and Rob McVeigh at 6/1. Both rose to fame when they were short-listed for the role of Joseph and Mariah in Andrew Lloyd Webber's talent search shows.
Meanwhile, it's a whopping 100/1 that the UK will go all the way and win this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for
Paddy Power, said: "Forget "nil points", there's been "nil interest" in the UK's entry for Eurovision this year.
"None of the six acts particularly stand out from the crowd and as a result the betting isn't busy.
"Most of our UK punters have turned their attention to Ireland's entry Dustin to go all the way."
The UK will make their decision this Saturday as to which act will go forward to represent them at the Eurovision in May.
