As an Airdrie fan I really can't see Brechin beating us this weekend. We're very strong at home this year and especially tight defensively (only conceded 7 at home so far). With us trailing Ross County by 3 points and having played 2 games more, every game is really a must win for us at the moment. Having played poorly against Cowdenbeath on Saturday, yet won, I'd expect us to bounce back with a better performance against Brechin.

I've no doubt that Brechin are a better outfit than the last time I saw them but I'd always fancy us at home against the majority of the teams in this division, Ross County apart. This game reminds me slightly of the Alloa game on Boxing Day. Alloa had been going well and were one of the form teams in the division, a bit like Brechin are at the moment, yet we turned them over quite easily. Brechin should provide stiffer opposition than Alloa did that day but I still can't see past us.

Team news wise, we'll have McKenna back in defence after his suspension which should hopefully give the defence a more solid look after we looked a bit dodgy against Cowdenbeath. McDougall will still be missing with his achilles injury and Holmes isn't likely to make it either.
