Actually i can see how this will not work. Then again if folks were just posting British football thoughts in a British football forum i think i could get used to it. Its all about tearing down the walls and its scary when you first think of it. Then when you realise that we want people to start threads first and foremost rather than post (a new thread will generate more posts than a new post will) and that people will be more involved if theyre posting their thoughts in a thread of their own each week. I think it wins hands down in that dept. Shite need not be tolerated and the forum rules on unsubstatiated (??) tips will come into play but to me i see it all now and how we have got it fundementally wrong. We have a forum marked British football and i would like to see our members being 'allowed' to just post in the forum arther than have to be made to post on a thread. We dont need the divisional threads. we're taking things 1 level too far.
And on top of that i do think people like to post for personal pride. they dont want to be anither poster on a grey thread about football betting. they want to run their own show and they want the comments and replies. We dont have to take on the
betfair mentality but still take the best from their set up which is a vibrant lively forum with people, characters and tipsters posting. Not just a load of threads that we want people to post on. lets move out of the dark ages and ive ourselves a kick up the arse. You know it can work if we keep things tight.
