1500: Barack Obama has been made clear favourite to win the race to the White House by
William Hill after winning three more states in the battle for the Democratic
Party's presidential nomination.
The Illinois senator won in Louisiana, Nebraska and Washington state and won caucuses in the US
Virgin Islands and
Hills have cut him from 6/4 to 5/4 favourite to be named president.
Republican front-runner
John McCain has drifted out slightly from 6/4 to 13/8 after losing out to
Mike Huckabee in Kansas and Louisiana, while
Hillary Clinton is now out from 9/4 to 5/2 third favourite.
Obama is 4/7 from 8/13 with
Hills to get the Democrat nomination, with Clinton 5/4 from 6/5.
McCain is 1/50 favourite (from 1/100) to win the Republican nomination with
Hills, who have cut Huckabee from 16/1 to 12/1.
The Democrats are 1/2 favourites to win the election, with the Republicans 6/4.
