Re: American Presidential Primaries

Huh. Wouldn't ya know it? There's odds on it! Even more Bettingzone Market News:

1305: More US election news and William Hill have opened a book on when the Democratic candidate will become known.

They are betting on the month in which either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama either officially concede defeat or withdraw from the race.

July or later is the 1/2 favourite. The party's national convention, at which the nomination is officially confirmed, takes place in August and some political commentators believe the closeness of the race will mean the decision is not reached until then.

It's also 33/1 February, 10/1 March, 10/1 April, 3/1 May and 10/1 June.

With more results from yesterday's 'Super Tuesday' voting now in, Clinton has won 845 delegates so far and Obama 765. 2,025 is needed to win.

Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "To have to admit defeat is going to be almost as devastating as realising that they are not as popular as they believed for one of these candidates, and you'd have to think they will try to delay making such an admission as long as possible."

Meanwhile, the Leeds-based firm also offer 2/1 that Clinton and Obama will become running-mates - as presidential and vice-presidential candidates - in the election campaign, regardless of who eventually wins the nomination.

=============

I think although a Hillary-Barack dream ticket is very tempting (the media would go apeshit for it) it most likely won't happen. Hillary's probably got her choice as to who she wants as vice-president and so will Barack.
