Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Baros will score the goals for you Swoop's/Cowley. He deserved more of a chance at Liverpool but was always behind Owen/Heskey in the pecking order. Let him know he's the most loved striker in the club and he'll bang em in

Look at the the goals ratio for country

1st team games: 108
1st team goals: 27
International caps: 36
International goals: 22

Newcastle look to have missed out on Deportivo La Coruna's Albert Luque after the Spanish club rejected their final bid for the striker.

The Magpies are believed to have agreed terms with the 27-year-old, who was said to be keen on such a move.

But Souness said: "I understand that our final offer was rejected, so I think this one's finished.

"We have made a fantastic offer for the player. Really there is a limit on how much you can spend on one player."

Thats the exact thought my mate Jesus mentioned to me yesterday exactly why they haven't gone for Baros but like AFU says Souness musn't rate him at all which is surprising compared to some of the pish that Souness has signed before.
Sounds like Newcastle may have some financial worries, Luque nor Baros would of cost a huge amount in transfer fee's or wages. They were bluffing about Owen as they knew that he wouldn't sign anyway.
