Happens everywhere unfortunately. Just yesterday the "right" man has gone on trial for the rape and murder of an 11 year old girl in Rochdale over 30 years ago. The police suppressed evidence at the time and knowingly (or at least havin a fair suspicion) sent an innocent man to jail for 16 years. Being a paedophile murderer can't have been an easy stint inside especially knowing you were innocent.
