With Drogheda's injury list lengthening over the weekend, manager Paul Doolin has suggested he will field a team of under-21 and under-17 players for tonight's League Cup second round game with Shamrock Rovers.

Stephen Bradley, Stephen Gray, Ollie Cahill and Paul Keegan picked up knocks in Friday's draw with Waterford. Dan Connor, Richie Baker, Jason Gavin and Aidan O'Keefe are still ruled out for some time while Graham Gartland is still troubled by injury.

Rovers though should be able to call from a stronger squad if they wish to do so, although Paul Shields, Eric McGill and Tommy Barrett could all miss out through injury.

There has been some suggestion that Drogheda have looked for the game to be postponed with them due to play in the Setanta Sports Cup Final on Saturday. However, there has been no official word that this has been granted and it seems unlikely that it would be at this late stage.
