I think the average winning hand full-ring in 7-stud is trip 9's I believe (think I learned that from a John Patrick show on the Poker Channel, funny guy
). The best bit of advice I was given was to ALWAYS start with trips, a pair, three to a straight or three to a flush with your first 3 cards. It made the game that much easier for me after this
