Re: Fa & Carling Cup: 23/24th Jan

Tottenham v Arsenal

Im going to be going in on Spurs tongiht with quite a hefty punt. Arsenal playing their second string team and whilst its done great to get here I just dont see them coming to White Hart Lane to win the game as its a 2 legged affair.

Plenty has been made of their last 6-3 win over Liverpool but people seem to be overlooking the fact Liverpool played a near second string outfit also so too much is being made of that result imo.

Spurs home form has been excellent this season and has been where the majority of their points tally has come from.

The thing i like from them just now is the standard of football they are playing at home with quick attacks coming from all areas of the pitch.

They had a blip against Newcastle at home but to be fair to them if Given hadnt played that game Newcastle wouldve been onto a big hiding.

Taino injured for Spurs and although he has featured often i dont see this as a big blow to the team as thye have more than enough ready made replacements.

I really do think the price is too inflated due to Arsenals last round performance. Spurs will be wanting to have a little lead going into the second leg and i expect them to have one.

Tottenham to win @ 2.50 Betfair (8/10)
