Federrer left the olympic village yesterday, because of the enormous interest the other athletes showed to him - he said he couldn't have a free second there

I think I'll be more interested in the ladies part as it should be much more competitive, but I'd like to see Anna Ivanovic winning it.

I think all Olympics is best in the olympics forum myself engineer but i don't have any say around here no more. Reason i mention is that it was a dillema i had to think about.with all our other sports forums we could cover nearly every sport. Then it was realised that anything olympics should just be in Olympics forum to save any confusion. Just my thoughts engineer. feel free to delete this post whatever happens

i was actually reminded engineer of some family gathering. People from all over the country etc all siting out in the sun and having fun. when dinner came TENNIS wasnt sitting in the garden as he was used to sitting in eating. We all talked about TENNIS behind his back and we all said that we hoped that he enjoyed his meal with a bit of spite in our voices.

aye we're all in the Olympics forum engineer and so should you tennis guys. We could leave a redirect and i will but im sure anyone thats thinking of Olympic tennis will know that it will be in the olympic forum .

Fantastic looking bet in the womens' doubles, due to be played today but seeing as it's now 11pm in China, and Venus Williams is still on court in the singles, it looks like it'll be tomorrow instead.

Morita/Sugiyama v the Williams sisters. Sugiyama is ranked 4th in the world in doubles, considerably higher than either of the Williams, who are both in the 30s. Morita much lower ranked in the doubles, but Sugiyama's experience can make this a close run thing. At 5/1, the price already looks very good, but I suspect that by the end of this afternoon it could look even better - Serena is already out of the singles, beaten by Dementieva, while Venus is a set and a break down to Na Li. If they're both out of the singles, and with the US Open not too far away, I'm not sure they're going to be overly keen on staying out in China for too much longer

Match got started last night, but didn't get very far - the Williams sisters are 2-1 up, one break of serve for each team. Strangely the odds have come crashing down on the Williams, at one point they dropped as low as 1.04, didn't manage to get on that low, but did get matched overnight with a lay at 1.1. Current price around 1.12.

Bit late on this one, as it's starting any minute now, but have laid Nadal to win 3-0 at evens. H2H between the two of them is tied at 3-3, with Gonzalez having won both meetings on hard courts - in straight sets at last year's Aus Open, and in 3 sets in Miami Masters in 2004. I've actually got a sneaking suspicion Gonzalez might win this one, but I'll settle for the lay of the 3-0 to Nadal.
