I agree Amp...the policy is annoying both at
Betfair and a few bookies. As you say when punters make their bets, they do it based on a set of conditions and information that is correct for when they beleive the game will be played, and a lot can happen between the postponement and the rearranged game. Of course whether the new developments are positive or negative for a bet is generally random, but nevertheless it removes some control from the punter.
But as ever,
Betfair and others want to protect their profits.
